sometimes I get so frustrated with my flute that I Throw it on my bed as hard as I can, and then I run and check if it`s all right!
does this ever happen to you?

I do get really frustrated with it, but I never physically harmed it.....on purpose....there was this one time during a football game I dropped it down the bleachers on to the concrete below and smashed the end of it- but, ah, this is another story, though it has taught me to be more careful with my new flute or any instrument. ANYWAYS, yeah, I get frustrated- but keep hope, and remember- your flute is your friend.

Thanks! I`ll remember that!But let me clarify something; I have never, in my entire 2 yrs. of playing flute,ever actually put a dent in my flute. I just slamm it down on my pillow or something soft!

WOW a real idol ... someone who can aim and get a pillow with a flute...

I`m not lying! I always practice on the bed and I prop my book on a pillow. When I get mad I move the book and hit the pillow with my flute!

i dont get so frustrated with my flute that i want to throw it out the window b/c its my baby. now my old stupid student flute is another story lol. you said that you use your pillow to prop you books up. well you need to get a stand b/c it is harder to practice that way. well g2g ttyl

o yea when i said that its harder to practice that way i ment without a stand it is hareder, but you know im the dumb 1 who doesnt use a stand half the time and i have 1 hehehe. thats b/c im too lazy to get it out lol ttyl

I used to get really frustrated, sometimes I still do. I tend to yell and scream (that`s why I practice while everyone`s out). Sometimes I`ll put my flute down and then punch a pillow, or rip up scrap paper... anything to get my agression out.



Anyhow...


Q. What`s perfect pitch on the flute?
A. Missing the rim as it goes into the toilet!

god do I ever!! I get SO fustrated I want to cry!!Alot of people in my band that play flute get fustrated and say"I wish I just could brake my flute!!..but it was $1,000 dollars!"

ok, well i`ve been playing the flute for 5 years now, and sure i have wanted to throw my flute down really hard. Not because it wouldnt play but because i couldnt play the music i had. but I always end up learning it. another reason why ive never wanted to "hurt" my flute, was because my flute is worth 1500 dollars. It is a really nice flute too (even though the brand is yamaha) i have really great tone with this flute too. oh and did i mention it is an open-holed flute!! and it has a gold mouth piece.
I have another flute too. one that I have had before I got thi new one. this one is a student flute, so is not that great. I only use it now for marching, and I use my other one for concert.

Anyone here in wind ensamble?

I do get frustrated but I have only been that frustrated once. It was during bandcamp my freshman year and I had to relearn everything becuz I quit my 8th grade year of band...so yeah

I`ve never really wanted to do anything bad to my flute, but there have been one or two occassions when I`ve wanted to throw my flute TEACHER out of the window. She`s not my favorite person !!!
