What is alright to download on Kazaa? I heard there are alot of people getting in trouble for using it! If there is such a big problem why don`t they just shut Kazaa down? Is classical music okay to download or what is allowed?

Downloadind and using the Kazaa software itself is not illegial, but using it to trade and download copywrited material is.

Kazaa can`t be shut down, they`re based on a small island in international waters and not subject to the laws of any country, that`s why the RIAA is throwing a temper tantrum since they have no way to touch kazaa. so instead they`re going after little kids who download music.

it`s legal to download anything that`s not copyrighted, most classical music is public domain but the recordings are not and they still fall under copyright law.

mp3.com had lots of free downloads but they just got bought by C-Net who plans to delete the whole archive and put up a pay site.
