Hi again Holly,

Which flute did you finally decide on?

There is actually a fingering guide in 8notes itself:
http://www.8notes.com/flute/fingering/
it can be a pain because you have to click on each note individially, but it should work ok.

Emerson has a page of fingering and trill charts:
http://www.emersonflutes.com/charts.htm

So does Gemeinhardt: http://www.gemeinhardt.com/how/fingering.html

This one is fun to play around with because the popup is more interactive than other charts (you have to click around a bit before it comes up): http://www.fluteland.com/fluteland/Flute_Fingering_Chart.asp

Once you get your flute, poke around and see which fingering chart makes most sense to you and is easiest to read. You might also look into borrowing flute books from your library. Most have a fingering chart included as well.

Lots of luck! Let us know how you like it!
