Hello to all,

having decided to upgrade my Yamaha 311 with a new flute, at the price range that I can afford , I tried three new ones: a Yamaha YFL614 , a Powell-Sonarč 601 and an 904 Altus and a used one: an Altus 1007. All four flutes were about the same price.
I must say that during the test I was more comfortable with the Yamaha, but I think probably because I came from another Yamaha. The headjoint of Powell Sonare gave me some problems at first, but with the passing of time I liked it more and more ... Between the two Altus I did not notice a huge difference, perhaps maybe the head was very similar if not the same.
I do not know long-term what might be the best choice, They all seemed good flutes ... But in addition to having a good sound I want my new flute is very sturdy and does not make me crazy with continuous adjustments: I do not go very light on the keys and there are no adjuster near my home.
I expect advice and opinions from those who have had experiences with flutes in object.
Thank you and Happy New Year.
Beatrice
