Hey!

I currently play on a Pearl PFP 105 grenaditte piccolo and I'm looking to upgrade to the Yamaha YPC-81R hand made professional piccolo. The reason why
Yamaha is because my friend is a dealer and can get me an AMAZING price and she'll let me pay it down monthly instead of all at once. Otherwise I would have went looking for a Burkart, Powell, Keefe, etc. If you have experience with this piccolo I would greatly appreciate your feedback! I'm looking to get it in the next few days.

Thanks,

Chris Ljucovic

I haven't played one in years so they may have improved, but 20+ years ago when i bought my Zentner, there was NO comparison. The Zentners were way better. Recently tried a Hammig and loved it. The most important thing though is how it plays for you! Have her get you several different Yamaha's and find the one that plays and sounds best to you! I might suggest trying other models too. If you love the Yamaha get it, if you love something else don't settle. Hang with your current model and save!

Thanks for your input! I bought the Yamaha picc because my friend is a dealer and got me an amazing price and she lets me pay monthly for it instead of all at once. I love it so far. I don't have time to try many piccolos right now as school and work doesn't allow it. I hope to try some other picc's real soon. I am looking at the Nagahara Mini Flute it looks amazing!

Best,

Chris L.

The biggest problem I have had on it was the scale and intonation issues. I went with a Burkart because of this reasoning.
