Has anyone done Fairest of the Fair by John Philip Sousa for a parade or concert march? Were doing it this year and i think it is an outstanding march. What do you think about it? heres a link to listen if u never heard it before: http://jwpepper.com/ram/2438505.ram

It`s the best march ever. I played it in 8th and for the FBA Concert thingy. Got a superior. Trombones get really cool parts! I loe it. Listening to it as I type this! lol

Our high school band is playing The Black Horse Troop this year I love the piccolo part.

Has anyone heard of Michael Colgrass? He has composed some band pieces. He also one a Pultizer Prize for his piece "Deja Vu" or something...

I really like playing fairest of the fair, but esprit De Corps isn`t exactly one of my favorite peices.
