Due to my sickness, my whole abdomen cant really grow as i have to wear a brace. Thus, my longs cant really grow.i dont feel really motivated as i can only last at most 10 seconds of long notes. So is it true?

your lung capacity will always continue to increase even after you stop growing if you do breathing exercises as a regular part of your practising. My teacher plays all types of clarinet, most saxophones and the flute among other instruments and he has been playing for 20 years, he insists that his lung capacity is still increasing because breathing exercises are a part of his practising just like scale work. A friend of mine has played the saxophone for ten years, he's 21 and he says that his lung capacity is still increasing. I say just peservere

Actually, the thing that controls your breathing is your diaphragm (which is a big flat muscle that cuts across your body at your waist). If you're wearing a brace across your abdomen when playing, that will seriously restrict your air-flow.
