Do you think it would be okay to play a clarinet solo/etude for a bass clarinet audition?

Yes, but depends what it is and who you're playing it for.

unless they give out or ask for specific etudes/solos, then it should be fine. i always play clarinet solos on my bass clarinet, just because its harder to find good bass clarinet ones, and my teacher has a bunch of clarinet music i can pick from. the only thing you might want to be careful with is that they are ususally pretty high- i like to play ones that are high and low, because the low range is pretty frequently used, so its good to demonstrate you sound good in it.

it occured to me right after i posted that-

for our district band auditions, they give out etudes specifically for each instrument, and the low clarinet one isn't hte same as the soprano clarinet one. however, they say where the etude comes from, and the bass clarinet ones are always actually clarinet etudes.
for senior regional orchestra the bass clarinet pieces were the same as the clarinet ones- granted, i was the only bass clarinet who auditioned, so it was hardly worth having a separate one.
