Phil McCrevis: A legend in his own mind.

Don't take this guy seriously. He obviously loves to fire off a zinger and then sit back and watch the fireworks. You folks need to simply ignore him, and he'll eventually go away. Don't play into his games, he gets off on the attention.

Phil, the flute people are not "bungwads" and I am certainly not your fan. I am merely a young musician who wants to learn more about music. What I am supporting is the fact that people should use this forum for music, not as a gossip/hate on someone board. Just clarifying.

Didn't you notice how he got mad at someone for double posting, and she said sorry, yet he was still mad, accusing her of wanting to get her point across, and saying she was lieing? If this forum actually had moderators, I would report him. Seriously, you are allowed to voice your opinions (as I am doing now, and I will not stop just because someone says that I shouldn't be 'mean', even though I am pointing out the truth, not the truth hidden behind the classic human desire to become the good guy and the hero) but when you start saying that yours are better than others, that's when I become annoyed, when you pretend you are better than everyone else, and start saying your going to cry because everyone is fed up with you. Then, surprisingly, everyone starts becoming your 'fans' and your the 'expert' even though you are self taught. Clarilicious? Come on...

Well, take this as advice or an arguement, but I won't force my ideas down your throught (is that how you spell it? I kind of forget how to spell 'throught' xD)

We are entitled to opinions, but Phil is just...unlaudable. I can stand rude people, but his hypocrital perceptions and arrogant state of mind are rediculous. I don't mind if he thinks like that, i just wish he would keep it to himself, rather than post on peoples personal profiles, or in forum in general. And Phil, unless you have proof of your "superior" playing ablility you claim to have, i will waste no more time on you.

Thanks to all of my friends who have stuck by me, even though things looked grim. It is hard to fend off all of these jackals by oneself. I couldn't have done it without you. You guys are the tide beneath my fins, or better yet, the escalator under my feet. You guys are the quality people that this forum is great for. Too bad this place is riddled with crazies.

I just thought that I would point out the problem. The problem is not that you have an opinion or that your opinion does not align with that of someone else. The problem here is that you condemn people for making mistakes, and you think you are the unquestioned authority on this forum. you think that no one here could possibly know as much as you do, and you act as such. statements such as "mistakes are for the weak" are false and aggravating statements. you are not perfect nor is anyone else. i believe that you may very well be an excellent clarinetist with bounds of knowledge to share, but i also believe that you are not correct 100% of the time.

i hope that from this point out we'll be able to all post our ideas, experiences, and opinions on this forum calmly and without any further problem. and that we'll all be able to get along with Mr. McCrevis here, and that he will be willing to get along with us.

I agree totally with whoever posted above me (Sorry for not remembering your name, I had to jump in on this one as quickly as I could).

First of all, I am not, and will never be the escalator under your feet. I don't know why you think the clarinet forum is behind you on this, but I, for one, am going to follow the advice the flute forum gave and not associate myself with you until I finish this last post.

I have many issues with you, but I'd like to address that you tell youself to be the "machine" and the "meastro" (or however you spell it...). Let me first tell you that machines are not music. If machines could make what we call "music" then machines could probably also have a sense of imagination, a soul, and a heart. Only a human can accomplish the making of music, as it is said by many music greats to be an infusion of your own soul into the music, your own emotion. This year I went to a summer band camp, in which I got there playing notes ona page, and came out one step closer to playing music. One great quote I got from one of the coaches there was "You're boring. When you play notes on a page, you're boring.". We have yet to hear a sound recording of your playing, and I will wait weeks if not months to see an end to your ego-rampage. This forum is about reputation. You can't just come in here and tell everyone that you are the undisputed master of music, expecting them to believe you and not retaliate. Now, if you had been humble, that would have been a different case, but immodest people put me over the edge.

Now that I have ranted my heart out, I will not reply to any of your posts, or even read them.

Whatever "phil", I'm done goodbye!

I think Phil isn't real. Honestly, no one would talk like that. This is making me laugh, because he is like a character that my friends and I would make up.
