Well, you don't need to limit yourself to just the people in your school.

Ask other people from different schools.

We live in a small town so all the closest high school to ours is about 10 miles away and I dont know anyone from other schools. And still i dont have a whole lot of timeon my hands. I work for the family the covers up almost my whole day. So it's pretty hard for me, but i still see a future in music for me.

Well it kinda does suck, but the good thing is that now we're playing different songs and from what i heard our band director has already gotten the slip(the "your fired" slip) , but he wont be leaving soon because the staff doesnt want to get rid of him because theres no one to take his spot and if he just left right now there would be no field trips or anything what so ever. So it can get better or worse, im still not sure. But i hope for the best in the future in this.

Ahhh, my band director is not the best, but he's okay. Plus getting new music helps a lot (we've been having this same muisc for 4+ months, and we only play 2 songs T______T)

Well the director got sick and when he was gone we picked out other songs. And when he got back he disapproved. We have also been practicing our march because thats what we're suppose to be doing, but the director stays to concert music WHEN WE'RE IN MARCHING SEASON!!!

We have concert and marching and pep band. Its all the same band but we do different things. Thing is that we dont do any concert compitions so i see no point in even playing concert. We go to a few marching concerts which are very tough and such things. Pep band is just to play at football games...nothing else.

I personally LOVE orchestra music but sadly we dont have an orchestra. We just have marching and concert and repeating the same thing over and over again gets extremely boring and VERY easy. I get music real easily and am good with rhyth and notes. I play on my own when i NEED too and do whatever i can to improve on my musical talent. Though i go through problems my own or with friends(like i am with my friends that are really bad that give me panic attacks) i try VERY hard to be my best. I tried to go to band camp this summer but i was unable because i did not have the money ($525) and its already to late to apply. Band camp is my heaven because thats the only place i have EVER seen people sooooo into music and love it as much as i do. There are many clarinet players that are waaaaay better than me and some younger than me, but i ignore all of them because i know their parents support them or they have the time when i dont. Auuuuugh! I hate my problems and where im at right now. And i have noticed...band people have the most drama problems...and GOD I HATE IT!

Zoom thanks but i had it >.<

Canadian...i can transpose it for you so it can be with the right key for its accompaniment. Just tell me your tuning note and what key the oboe is in.

I simply love this song and is EXTREMLY good and very tough! I just dont know how to play...oh i dont what they are called...a line connected to a note but is a not a slur. Thats the problem i have most.

The song was made to be difficult and is PERFECT for auditioning! This song is a big impresser if you got the tone and so much.

I got some more difficult sheet music that i found out on some website but im going to need to find the page again.

Oh and since we're talking about this...what is a tounge slap? It is written on a certain song but has no note but just an X note which is made to be just a rhythmic sound, but it sometimes says that it is Flat so it gets me REALLY confused. Same for the connected notes with a line..what is that?

Gordo: Oboe is in C major, just like violin, flute, piccolo and so forth. I would really like it if you could transpose that for me please ^-^.

I think we could make a thread. On what though?

Zoom, I've reached high A today! ;o

I've been using this site for up above high F fingers JUST for that peice >;3

Here it is: http://www.wfg.woodwind.org/oboe/ob_alt_3.html

I suppose I could transpose itm I know how, but I have Finale Note Pad, which sucks majorly.

I could buy a Program, but I don't compose at all, I just have Finale to transpose.

Oh, by the way: What exactly is Slap tonguing? I'm interested xD.

I want to learn how to double tongue, circular breathe, and make reeds this year. Any suggestions?

Sorry, some bad spelling there, typos everywhere, oh no!
