So, currently from over the break (C to C, the one on the clef to the one one line off the clef) I squeak a loooot! Also my tonguing is really flaky and its hard to get notes out if I tongue, also if I don't tongue it still takes probably a second or two for a note to come out. In the low register this doesn't happen, although my tonguing is still pretty bad xD. I'd really like to get better at playing, and I try and practice as much as I can. If anyone can give me tips/drills or useful exercises that would be lovely!

For the tonguing, just try it on one note that your good at playing and just practise quarter notes on it.
For the break, start at the E above it then slowly work down, its a bit easier that way
Good luck!

A professional orchestra clarinetist said to me once; Tonging, Yeah, OK. But itza wind instrument. So blow. Started me off playing with air and no tonguing. Found it easier that way to cross the break and not to try it blowing harder. Then later I got to tonguing and I found that easier with crossing the break. What ever works for you is best.
