I recently got a new clarinet (well its nearly anique actually), and the mouthpeice is stuck to the barrel its a wooden barrel and i can't just replace the mouthpiece as it is a realy nice selmer c**, we have tried twisting and pulling but it is stuck in there tight,

try putting it in the freezer for 10 minutes - to have the cork shrink - then try twisting/pulling it apart.

then maybe try another 10 minutes .....

BUT if it does separate DO NOT play it immediately as the barrel will probably crack - give it an hour to come back to temperature

thanks for the advice-
I tried it and it separtaed right away, i am takig it to a tech in the morning to get them to adjust the cork slightly to avoid another sticky situation.

Trouble is it's very difficult to get the grease on the cork if the mouthpiece is stuck on the barrel :-)
