OK, one of my clarinets made of grenadilla and supposed to be black, its bell is, well, brown. Like a very very dark cherry color. It is a pretty old clarinet about 17 years old. Is this bad? Is there something wrong with my clarinet?

Thank you for your input :D

There's nothing wrong with your bell. Every piece of wood is different - I know it's called African blackwood but in reality it is dark brown. Some manufacturers ensure a close match in colour between joints & others stain the wood so that all parts look identical but in the process hide the beauty of the grain & colour of the original wood.
