Okie dokies, I started marching with the Bass Clarinet this year. And well, I'm having trouble with the Neck Strap. 1] Its a Alto Neck Strap. And 2] Its hurts.

I know some people with think that I should suck it up 'cause it hurts.

The Neck Strap isn't helping me with my marching. Its pulling me down-I'm not a strong person, I'm only like 103 lbs. and 15, but weight prolly has nothing to do with it- and it makes me not have the support that I need. I'm use to sitting up very stright with the Bass, but with the neck strap its pulls me down and makes me even tired and being so tired it takes away the air support I really need. Our show music is from 170 to 180 clicks. And then 80 double time. Then back to 180.

Should I use one of thoes Harness type neck straps or what??

I would strongly encourage a harness type strap, it would be good to distribute the weight over a larger area of your body.
