Can anyone tell me what the ranking of B & H clarinets is ? I believe the Regent is the most junior and the Imperial the most professional, but I may be wrong. Thanks.

Student Regent & Edgware; intermediate Emperor; Imperial 926 narrow bore pro; 1010 large bore pro. They also used other names at times (like Westminster) & also numbers (I believe for the export market) but don't know how they fit in with the other models.

I thought that Regent and Emperor were student, Edgware was Intermediate, Imperial 926 was semi-professional and Symphony 1010 was professional!
I have a B&H Imperial 926 and it's wonderful! I know two people with 1010's and they adore them too! If you're thinking of getting one, go for it! Try it first though!

The Emperor is definitely the intermediate. I reckon the 926 & 1010 are both pto instruments - it is just a matter of which bore & sound the player preferred - having said that most pros went for the large bore.
