My dad just bought a Conn Director for me off ebay. The pictures showed it to be in good condition and from the serial I'm guessing it was made in 1961 or '62. I'm presently playing on a plastic Vito Resotone, so I figured an upgrade to any wooden would be good. I got it for just over $46. Did I do ok? If you've played on one will you please tell me what to expect for tone when it arrives.

I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

At that price, assuming that the clarinet has not been grossly abused, it should be an excellent instrument even if you have to have it overhauled.
