Hi all!!

I have just joined the websight and I was just wondering if anyone here knows much about the Oehler system clarinet? I am from Ireland and studying clarinet in collage and as far as I know no one in Dublin plays this system. I am doing some research on this system for my final year and would appreciate some help and expertise that might lead me in the right direction!

I had a few ideas focusing on certain aspects -Educations comparisons. How to teach each instrument to a beginner – begin with different scales/songs/technical exercises that would favour the simple system than the Boehm. Crossing over between the two systems (Good idea? How big a difference is there and can the transition be made smoother? Best way to teach the cross over?

histoical background of the two systems?

I'd appreciate any help or discussion!

Cheers,
