Would you recommend me to take private clarinet lessons? I`m planning on going into music when I go to college.

Yes I think most others will agree. A teacher can help you to get a good start in playing the clarinet. I strongly advise getting a good teacher.

I believe that a private teacher is the most important thing that you can do at this point. Music majors are almost required to have teachers. There will always be large gaps between the self-taught and the student.
