I like to play "The Phantom of the Opera" on Eb Soprano Clarinet. It`s extremely easy, but I love the way it sounds!

The Finzi concerto is my favourite right now. But you might want to wait a few more years before you attempt it, it is quite an advanced piece.
You could maybe try Finzi`s `5 Bagatelles`. Or the Schumann Fantasy pieces. They are pretty good.

Mozarts horn concertos (first recording in the 50ths) when the clarinet and the horn and the other wind instruments blend I shiver with delight.

I love the Malcolm Arnold Sonatina, esp. the third movement. Its a twentieth century neoclassical piece.

I love weber`s concerto`s some are quite hard, but they`re really cool. Esp. concerto no. 2 in e flat op.2, the 1st and 3rd mvt. I don`t like the 2nd mvts of concertos. I prefer fast and exciting pieces.

The Poulenc clarinet sonata is quite fun. Its loud, high and fast. Its not my favorite (Copland concerto is my absolute favorite but its a big chop-buster), but I enjoy it. BTW, today is Poulenc`s birthday!

If any concert pieces are familiar to you I would consider hard ones like:
Whip and Spur
Baccanale
Persis Overture
Lux Aterna

you may come across these pieces in bands, and this goes with everybody. grade 5 music. excellent pieces.

and for clarinet study:
C.Rose
32 Etudes for Clarinet
^great book!!

I agree with Richard. Fancy Passing and Passing Fancy are great and work really well in an encore. And good fun to play.

But I also love the Malcolm Arnold Sonatina, Brahms Sonata in F Minor, William Hurlstone 5 Characteristic Pieces and Debussy`s Premiere Rhapsodie. Bit of a mixture.

Concerto-wise, I don`t really have a favourite as I like a lot of them but if I had to pick one, it`d be the Copland.

Oops, I wrote `5` instead of `4 Characteristic Pieces`.
