Ya, bass clarinets are awesome. In high school we had some
really good players, but at my college we don`t have any BCs.
Oh well, hopefully we`ll get some this fall.

bass clarient players happen to be among the most amazing ppl in the world, believe me i know, i play one! have you ever tried playing the contrabass clarinet? that thing is HUGE! it sounds so cool, like a low rumble. but anyway, never regret being a bass clarinet, for they are one of the best instruments in the entire world!!!

so bass clarinet is ignored? THats nothing compared to sax! (well, at least at my school) I know that it doesn`t matter, cuase if oyu go into a carear high school doesn`t matter, but it still p1sses me off. Im one of the best players in the band (at least I like to think so, maybe Im just concieted lol), and the directors don`t give a crap. Well, i`ve got a few compliments, but ya. Ignored? There are more tubas then saxes in my band. The only way to get heard is get a solo and blow the heck out of it (this is versus 30 trumpets mind you) or get a solo in jazz band. YOu never hear the saxes. Heck, we play different songs and the directors don`t notice. Oh, and the three of us had a solo (well, one of us did out of hte three) so we deciced to switch who was playing it each measure.. LOL that was funny, the directors didn`t do anything. Well, the main one would`ve killed us but he wasn`t there heh...

So, whatever you play in my band you never get heard. ya. unless ur a trumpet. and they suk. bad. real bad. still don`t know the difference between B and Bb. ok this doesn`t help but ya go figure.
