hi

has anyone ever had any experience with, know or heard anything about Hans Kreul oboes? i`ve been offered one but i haven`t heard anything about it before.

I played Hans Kreul oboe.I think it`s one of the best istruments.Very solid made, dark tone,silverplating is really solid.Scale is even and intonation stable.The only thing is Kreul oboe made to play using a german type reed

tnx for ur response. glad to hear that someone actually thinks it`s good; seems not so many people use a kreul.

i`ve just finally bought it. i hope it lives up to expectation. the specific german reed might be a problem, but i hope i`ll live. cheers.

I own a hans kreul oboe... have you had any luck sourcing reeds? where did you get yours and what did you pay for it (if you don`t mind me asking) feel free to just email me back
