I'm on the waiting list for a Hiniker oboe. This topic was brought up a couple of years ago, but I was wondering if there were any others since then who have experience with a Hiniker oboe. I'm also considering ordering some of his english horn bocals too try as they are supposed to be excellent. Any thoughts or comments on his bocals? I currently use Laubin bocals and I love them. Just curious to see how the Hiniker compares.

I bought a Hiniker a few years ago and put my Laubin oboes away for good. They are now my backup instruments, or to lend to students. Also the bocals are better than Laubin, and I play a Laubin English horn. Hiniker oboes are the best I have ever played.
