Hi all! I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about Cabart bassoons. I haven't learned much from internet searches, just that the company made a few Heckel system instruments around the time of WWII. Has anyone seen or played one of these?

Cabart bassoons? Nope, can't say I've heard of those before. But, bearing in mind, when it comes to different makes of bassoon I don't know jack. Apparently fox is good... schriebers are nice... that's about the extent of my knowledge I'm afraid. I'm guessing it's a make of bassoon? I might have a mooch on the internet later to research them a bit. Let us know if you find any interesting bits of info.

Cabart are a French company better known for their oboes. They did make Heckel bassoons many years ago.I've seen pictures of them but never played one. They have the basic number of keys, and strangely have a roller on the low Bb key.
