Hello all.
Bit of a long shot:

I'm after a contrabassoon player to join my trio Jecklin (double bass and percussion).

The music takes the form of directed improvisations and is often very textural.
The music is reliant on bass frequencies a lot of the time.

Someone keen on coaxing some wonderfully dark and filthy sounds from their instrument and getting involved in the experimental and improvised music scene would be ideal.

Although improvised this is not jazz.
A familiarity with contemporary music and various extended technique would be a good starting point.

The drummer and I are in our late 20's and share a fine art background. We practice in Herne Hill.

Ongoing recording and performances from september.

Contact me for full details either here or email:

Cheers
Thomas
