I'm looking at purchasing one of two bassoons which are around the same price. I'm not too sure which to purchase. I know that Fox is a better brand than Selmers but also I hear that wooden bassoons are better than Polypropylene bassoons. They are both vintage bassoons.

The Fox I'm looking at is either a 41 or 51 made out of Polypropylene.

The Selmer Bundy I'm looking at is vintage and I'm not too sure what the model number is.

Thanks for helping out. I need a quick answer or I may miss out on these bassoons.

IMO the Fox poly propylene bassoons are far better than the Bundy. Despite not being wood they are much better made & will sound better.

Good luck

Ian
