I inherited a VKS bassoon recently from my Grandfather and I am struggling to find out anything about it on the web. From the little I found it could have been made in the 1920's. Does anybody know anything about VKS bassoons or where I can find out more about the instrument. I'm a tenor sax player so I don't even know if it is nice to play.

forgot to mention it has a 28 stamped under the boot and a XXVIII scored into the wood on one of the joints

Probably 'Vincenz Kohlert & Sons' made in Graslitz before the war.
