You all know me from my intro, if you dont go find it. So what happens to me now is when I play thru my band songs and fool around with scales and other songs and just basically practice my lips seem to blow out earlier then they have before. Any excersizes or tips to help my poor lips?

USe more air. You are probably using your lips to make the pitch. Push more air through the horn. You will be surprised at how much longer you will be able to play. In the long run, you will be a batter player as well.

Hey...I just started playing horn a few months ago, and I`ve taught myself techniques and everything on my own, and what I`ve discovered is, to have good chops, all you really have to do is practice more regularly. And if you want exercises, just practice LONG TONES with whatever scales or notes give you trouble. Hope that`ll be of some help to ya.

Perhaps you should take a day off to rest your fatigue chops.
Sometimes over practice is worse than no practice at all. You want to tear down and build up, but knock the whole building down. But a good way to increase your endurance along with your range is Long Tones, wonderful long tones. Get the old metronome out and play them. Don`t just limit yourself between low and middle c. Play above that. Even those g`s and high c`s. I hope you`ve found this advice useful.
