I played the trumpet in school from 4th to 10 or so - and got out of it- but actually I am thinking about starting again, I have not played in 9 years. I am 30.

Where do I start?

When I started back playing trumpet at age 56, after about 20 years of not playing at all, I picked up a couple of intermediate method books from the local music store and began working on rebuilding the old chops. Six months later I was playing solos at my church, and soon therafter started playing in two community concert bands, one community jazz ensemble, and a college concert band.

There`s no reason you couldn`t make a comeback as well.

I have been playing every day now for a few weeks, I play around an hour a day, I have Breaze easy 1 + 2 = Mel Bay Method and some stuff I printed off the internet,

I guess I am impatient, I used ot be able to play for hours a day when I was younger Now I can do an hour tops before my chops get airry sounding.
