? about playing in the high register..

ok..i have problem with me playing on the upper register on the trumpet..i can hit a C and sometimes more above the staff line, but lately when i try to play, the air escapes on the corner of one side of my lips and not enough air goes through the mouthpiece...does anyone have any tips to help me out.

don`t strain for the high notes relax because if you strain you air gets cut off....and don`t press the horn up to your face to hard it kills the viberation and lets less air through

Corners very tight....i had the same problem
There are other ways to solve this involving changing ur embuchure but dont do it! I did it and then when my music teacher saw it he had to restructure it again....not good

If that happens, stop trying to scream notes for a while. If you keep forcing high stuff with impromper technique, you`ll end up as a junior in high school having to rework his chops in order to keep up with the insanely crazy marching show music that his director gives ;-).
Carusos are good.
