im a 16 year old female tumpeter and i love to play. in my town (a tiny place near melbourne, australia) there are far more guys who play, but all the girl players i know are awesome.

yes, we are the minority, but girls too can be killer trumpeters, playing ballads with feeling and amazing tone and reaching screeching high jazz notes as well.

us girls should unite and conquer the trumpeting world. sounds corny doesnt it!! lol

i want to find all the girls out there who are kick ass trumpeters and we can become friends

At my school the two best trumpet players are female. The rest are guys. Last year we had a really good male lead trumpet player, this year its the girls.

no trumpet boy, i dont think you suck, but i think the girls have it in the bag when it comes to awesomeness.

i am so glad to hear that there are other female trumpeters out there who are doing it for the team and getting desk 1 over the boys. step 1 in our total domination!! (yeah, i do sound like an idiot, i know)

keep it real

Girls Boys. W/e we all have the same abilities...just depends on your likes and dislikes. it also depends on the talent. but yes, girls aren't as common as guy trumpet players. but we still dominate!

yo! my school is small. so our marching band only has about 21 members, and there are only 6 trumpet players(which i am proudly one of!)we have 2 really good players, a guy and a girl.so hey, trumpet is one of those things where gender doesn't matter!

In Honolulu, Hawaii the top trumpet player when I was in high school was a girl. Not from my school. She was top chair in all the honor bands/competitions/marching bands I was in. I only beat her in one competition and that was for the Hula Bowl Marching Band top trumpet seat. I could scream those high notes and had endurance, so I guess that helped. In college as a freshman, she was still out playing most of the seasoned players.

Some of us guys went on to play in bands and did gigs on the side but she stayed the course and continued to play for the Honolulu Symphony. She is so modest too. Asian girl blowing some technical piece I could never memorize...awesome.
