hello,

I want to hear your opinions on the Silencer for the trumpet?

Do they work perfectly, do they eliminate the loud sound of the trumpet?

Also VERY IMPORTANT does the silencer/mute alter, change the TONE of a note??

If I will paly let`s say a C with out the silencer will it sound the SAME with the silencer or the tone is different??

Which silencer should I get the one that uses headphones for your ears or the one that just makes the tone lower??

Did you ever use a silencer and what can you say about it,
did you like the tone it made, did it work 100% or it still made noise that could be heard by others??
Thanks you
Dave

Hi Dave
A mute doesn`t change the tone of a note, but it sounds not so loud anymore. People don`t use a mute because they don`t want to play so loud, but because you get another sound. You have also different muets: a mute, a cup mute and a harmonic mute.

I hope i`ve helped you!
