I'm looking at a used Conn Vintage One Trumpet. It is gold. No where on the horn do I see indicated "Gold plated". I see 1B 46 on the leadpipe. The bell is yellow like the rest of the horn. Were all the yellow Vintage ones gold plated? The mouthpiece is also gold colored. The complete package with 2 very small scratches, on on the bell another elsewhere. They're asking $950 for it. This seems like a good deal but the yellow brass version is worth less than the gold plated version. How can one tell by visual inspection which model this is? Any info would be appreciated. I would even be willing to sell it to someone for a very minimal finders fee above that price. Thanks for responding.

If it is for a collection, buy it. If you intend on using, I recommend a Bach.

I know that the Conn Vintage One's are most commonly silver plated. That also seems like an unusually low price for such a good horn. beware
