I want to learn how to transpose any guitar tabs to trumpet notes. How would I proceed to do so? I'm sorta confused on it, and would like tips. What is the easiest way? What about with chords? How would I reproduce the sound of a chord?

Thanks!

Cody

There are many ways to transpose from guitar to trumpet. From a general standpoint, it's not easy. Period. But here is the simplest approach: Any note that you write on guitar should be transposed up a whole step when you write for trumpet. So, if you write a Bb on guitar, you notate it as a C for trumpet. If you write an F on guitar, you write G for trumpet, etc. However for guitar it might sound an octave lower than it should be, but I'm not going to get into it specifically (otherwise it's just too complicated). But that's the simplest approach.

Best of luck to you!

Optimist!!

Do you know what a guitar tablature is trying to tell you? If not then say and I will try and explain. I really think that you are on a hiding to nothing though.
