well said biglipsdaddy! I think the black Americans are arguably the best trumpet musicians I`ve ever heard. And as for jazz! They got us beat fellow whities! The black Americans have to best concept of swing, hands-down! They`re born with it...

Oh yeah and CLARINETS DO NOT SOUND LIKE KAZOOS!!!! I am majoring in clarinet performance and I`ve won many competitions against many trumpet players with judges who raved about the beauty of my tone. So don`t judge clarinets by the beginner players please!

I`m having trouble memorizing the notes. I ALWAYS have to put letters under the notes... it seems so hard to memorize them! how?????

I`m 15 and from germany.i started playing the trumpet 3 years ago and i love it.mostly i play in the church but i just learned to play the trumpet,because i wanted to play jazz.but jazz is not very famous in germany.i just wanted to say that i didn`t like the way this stupid girl wrote about that little black boy.my biggest idol louis armstrong was also black.we all know that the best trumpet players were black.

Have you heard of Doc Severinsen?Dont generalize.There are good musicians of every color. and who is better?Its simply a matter of taste.Remember,beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Youre just as racist. How can you say because someone is black they will be a better player..."they are born with it". Let me tell you, I am a black player that has busted his ass to get where I am. I have white and black friends that play trumpet who are much more gifted than I am. I am also way better than a lot of white and black players. True...some people are born with it but it doesn`t matter what the race is. You think your were playing a compliment to blacks but you were generalizing just as others do. Think before you speak.
