I`m an LOTR fan, and have the songbook, but there are only 6 songs in it. There is no such thing as piano sheet music for Concerning Hobbits, for example, from Fellowship of the Ring. Is there such a thing as software that can listen to the song on a CD and then write the music for piano? If not, someone needs to invent it!

if such a thing was to exists, it will have to be very sensitive to be able to pick up what note it is. If it`s that strong it will easily pick up any other unwanted noise around you....

try and find a midi file of the songs you want, then open them in one of your normal music scoring programs (like overture, or sibelius). There`s always some sort of option to open MIDI files, and you should be presented with all the parts.
