is this Perfect Pitch?

I can indentify which notes the people are playing with my ears ONLY. My friends said it is Perfect Pitch. But i am not sure... what exactly is this perfect pitch thing and why am i different from others?

I had a friend with perfect pitch. If you said to her sing me a middle C, she would sing the note and you could check it with a piano and she'd be spot on! Same with any other note - and could tell me if just one of my guitar strings was tuned slightly flat or sharp - like human pitch pipes! Perfect pitch hearing is very rare.

I have near perfect pitch, enough so that ppl/musicians who sing/play out of tune is torture... and they wondered why I refused to join the recorder group at school:0
