I actually am excited too! But I'm really excited for youth orchestra to start! :D

ok, you're all so lucky! my schools "orchestra" has a grand total of ... 5 members! yeah, i'm one of two flutes. we also have three trumpets, how's that for variety? we can't play any good song cause we have no clairents drums saxes or anything! and we only need 15 minute rehearsals cause there are so few parts! is that crazy or what?

My School doesn't even have an orchestra! I am in a youth orchestra 2 hours from where I live though. It gets tiring to go every week, but it is worth it!

thanks, were working on composing songs that actually work for us, I mean, we sound really bad now because we had had a clairnet for a few months and then she QUIT right before our first concert which was a disaster

wow. i can't imagine only having flutes and trumpets. no more complaining about the army of clarinets our band had.

Yikes. I though we had it pretty bad with our band being made up of 3/4 trumpets and saxophones, but at least we have a few flutes and clarinets, an oboe (me!), and 2 french horns. lol

Just got back from band camp! 12 hours per day of standing out in the sun and getting yelled at! It was a blast...we've got a freaking amazing field show.

ooh yum the cream filling is the best part of an oreo! lol

Anyways...

We started school last week but we only have been playing pep band music so I have had to play the flute . I can't wait till we start concert band so I can play oboe.

Yuck. Flutes in pep band are...well...pointless. The sax, trumpet, bone, and percussion sections are where it's at.

We don't really have band camp at our school.. i think that's probably a good thing..Am i right when i say its at school like a high-school summer camp type dealy? at least here in Ontario there's camps you can go to for music but I've never heard of a school actually having band camp. that would be weird I think..

On a side note can't wait to get my phone unlocked today..now i can finally use it! hip-hooray!

I love band:D Its the best part of being back in school (other than the socializing:D)

AngieBlueandWhite, Band Camp = Setting the field show. That means being out in the sun for about 10 hours per day, getting one heck of a tan, being yelled at by a guy 30 feet in the air, and having the time of your life. Four days. It makes me sound like a massacist...but it rocks.

bahaha. that is the best definition on band camp. ever.
10 hours in the sun for me would equal redder than a tomato. but its all good. skin cancer will only kill you, nothing too bad.

ug. i wish i didn't have to take math. stupid stupid math homework.
