I am 14 and i am teaching myslef to play the piano but i cant play two different rythems with both hands at the same time. Any suggestions?

you could learn one part and then the other, which is what i do. probably not good, but i`ve just been trying to teach myself a bit as a second instrument. best of luck!

just try practicing with right hand then master it then use your left hand then put them together.

this helped me a bit, take your right hand and slap your leg(or table, whatever) whenever there was a note in the treble clef,do this for a few bars of music, then when you have that down, do that with your left hand, when there is a note in the bass clef, then do it together, so you`re a slapping out 2 different rythms, then play it on the piano.

Do the clapping ex designed for BH playing in the Paul harris sight reading book. Then using the same method, tap out the rhythm of the section that you`re having problems with. When u tap, remember to tap BH at the same time(just like the ex in the book).Then proceed to playing seperate hands, then both hands. Tapping of rhythm will improve co-ordination greatly. That`s why Paul Harris put those ex. in his books.
