I haven't played trombone in close to two years. I picked up a bone this morning and blew through the horn...I sounded like used diaper and indian food....or bad to say the least. I still have some range but my tone quality at a low B flat to E just sucks. I tried a 3 partial lip slur to warm me up slurring down...I didn't get to play long but I'm just wondering if anyone would have some suggestions for ways to get back into the groove fast. Also does anyone know where I can find the Laura Solo J.J. Johnson plays?

Sheet music. How about some suggestions for getting my chops going again. Yesterday I went home and just really blew through the horn loudly then I backed off from volume and I found my tone was a lot better. I guess I had forgotten how to really put air through the horn the way I need to. I am having some problems with my tongue. I have a very lazy tongue now...it's either too hard or just sloppy sounding. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Any suggestions on some nice sounded little solo's to work on?
