that is really good advice steve. and that song was beautifull those trombones were amazing, they had so much power with good sound and they blended so well....awsom.

i'll se if i can right the parts to those songs. witch ones do you want? low rider sonds the coolest but you all have to be confedent with your parts. any way i'll try to get those in with in the next few days i'll have alot to do but good luck with your audition i have one tomarow too but i'm not too woried. you just need to listen to what seteve said. relax . by the way thank you (both you and steve) for responding to the thred. i was looking to find someone who could hold an intelegent conversation. and i got it. thanks.

yeah great job

i'm relieved I made first chair again but there was some stiff compotion. tomarow i have all county auditions. i'm more woried about those cause i herd if you make the all county band you could get scolership opprotunities. i don't know if thats true i hope so. this is my first year trying out for it. wish me luck. i can't seem to get the parts to those songs somthings wrong

<Added>

okay that was the bottom part to low rider

<Added>

you play that over and over and the last b flat is the same as the first b flat so ther should be a repete sign after the last A flat

i already wrote the first part but it had some notes int treble clef if you can't read trebel play this but up an octive

<Added>

the bottom part plays ther part first one time through. then the second part starts when they(bottom) start over. then the first com in when the second start over so your all playing your part all at once. you might notice the first have an extra beat that is the same note as the first beat on the bottom part. that is right the first waight till the bottom and second part to finish that time around then the first come back in so the first actualy play every other time. it sounds more complicated than it is.

<Added>

once you figure that out there is somthing after that after the first play ther part three (could be more or less depending on how youlike)times instead of playing there forth time they play this

<Added>

okay never mind i'll get it in latter try to figure out what i put in already

Thank you for the compliment! I play trombone for the US Fleet Forces Band (Navy) in Norfolk, VA. I do not have a degree in music (though many of my coworkers do), most of what I know is through experience and lots of private lessons from some really good teachers. As a matter of fact, I still take regular lessons (one every two weeks or so...my teacher is three hours away, so I can't do much more than that)
When my tour in the Navy is done, I plan on going back to school for my teaching degree.
Thanks again.

Hi, well I'm from Oklahoma, i'm 16. A freshman. Well my high school band has been pretty succesful in the last 3 years and i'm hopin to be apart of another Sweepstakes this year. You have to get 1's in marching, district, and state contest to get one, or so...
