I was looking for cases to buy, so I asked a few people, and one of them was a college professor about Pro-tect cases. She said that she has had/have students that use these cases fore everyday cases. There lightweight, extra space, straps, etc. But she said that she was noticed that when someone (gets) hits there cases pretty hard that it really doesn't help. She said that its really an illusion that the horn is in a hard case thats protected, but reality is that it's not. Its really only about |||||||||||||| that think of padding. So I thought if anyone was/could be in the case market, especially since its close to Christmas, I though I would be kind and give you a little insight of what a college professor has since she taught middle school many years ago.

Just for clarification, the correct spelling is "ProTec". FWIW, I've been using these cases for years and have never had a problem. One time, the case rolled over several times in the back of my van, and when I opened the case, the trombone was still in perfect condition.

I wasn't trying to get negative feedback, I was just trying to relay information with the meaning to look into whatever you buy before you actually buy it. And so I was just giving my imput on it.
