i know you didn`t want anyone without a clue, but University of Florida seems to have a really good music program, and my friend takes lessons from someone thats getting a major in trombone performance, and so I think that might be good.

It depands on what you want to do, and how far you are willing to move. If you want to do orchestral or chamber work, Julliard is about as good as they get (and if you are really good, Joe Allessi[Principal, NYPO] might take you on as a student). If you live in the south, prefer jazz and want to stay close to home, I reccommend North Texas University. If you would like a more informed opinoin, I reccommend the forums at www.trombone.org registration for posting privlidges may take a few days, but you will get the imput of a wide range of professionals, educators, amatuers, pre-grads, post-grads, instrument manufacturers, and an occasional big name player.
Whatever your choice, best of luck!
