1st Position = Open
2nd Position = 2nd valve
3rd Position = 1st valve
4th Position = 1st +2nd or 3rd valve
5th Position =2nd + 2rd valves
6th Position = 1st + 3rd valves
7th Position = all three valves

This is the same for all Bb brass instruments.
