Has anyone here played a Besson, specifically the BE944R model? Your thoughts and feedback on this horn would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
-Bobert

Yes! The Besson 944R is the trombone I use for my symphonic playing... in wind ensemble, orchestra, and solo classical playing. My professors play on Edwards or Bach horns most of the time, and they recommended that I try out those horns. I did play on them for about a year, but I went back to the Besson because it just felt better to ME. I live in the Houston area, and most people around here play on Bach horns. In north TX, I believe most play on Conn horns. Besson is manufactured in England, so a lot of guys over there play on Bessons. You should choose a horn that you feel suits you the best.
