I recently acquired my grandfather`s trombone, and was wondering how to find out more about it, such as an approximate age.
The trombone is silver plated, with a brass bell.
It is a King, with "Made by H.W.White Co. Clevd, O." on the bell.
Also, it has an f-stop (most of it, anyway), and the slide portion of the trombone can be adjusted out another 3-4 inches.
The serial numbers are 69698 (bell), and 69695 (slide).
Also, where can I find the last piece of the trigger assembly to make this horn functional?
Thanks.

If the serial numbers you gave are correct, the manufacturing date of the horn is the early 1920`s. If the trombone is a King Cleveland model, you are looking at the late 50`s.

In any case, parts are no longer available, but may be able to be fabricated. If it is possible to send me some pictures of the horn, I should be able to give you a better idea of what needs to be done.
