Hi, I`ve been playing the violin for about 9 years now. I`ve played bluegrass for 5 years also, so I have a fairly adequate amount of knowledge of that style. Recently I got an electric violin, but I don`t know anything about the "rock violin style." If anyone could let me know of any techniques, any place that teaches it, or any good books or videos to learn from I would greatly appreciate it!

P.S. I`m also thinking about learning more about jazz violin, so again if anyone has any advice please help!

Hola!

Group work is an important part of rock music. If you can get ahold of an open minded group of rock musicians and spend some time jamming with them it would help a lot. Are any of your friends rockers?

Also, learn rock chord progressions and work on improv using them.

I pranked him... with a tire iron,
