Hello. Dont lose heart. One would love to be able to tackle interesting tunes already, whether they be classical or 'modern' tunes. But alas, as a beginner (which I also am), I reckon we would do well to stick with out Suzuki or Sevcik or whatever you are on ... the time will come ... and by then you will have had quite a bit of the beginner technique polished ... the game of patience continues!!!

Hello,

I would recommend some books listed in the site http://violinwizard.com .

I have purchased the book called "First lessons " by criag duncan and i think it will be a good book for you being a beginner. The next book that i suggest is ABCs of violin ( more nice but little more advanced).

good luck!

If you like fun pieces, I would recommend folk tunes or irish jigs. They are pretty easy to play and super fun.
