For my high school graduation project I've arranged the piano and string parts for my flute choir. I also made my own solo piece which is just pretty much random scales notes and patterns. The thing that frustrated me the most tho was the string parts. I definitely don't think that Amy Lee ever really 'writes' down those parts. If you ever watch "Good Enough" or "All That I'm Living For" live online the cellist seems to be pretty into the music. Of course he has the music memorized but I think it's more than just than a notes on a page thing. I've just been trying to put down what I hear, and when I'm not sure I just go by the guitar tabs and make it my own part.
