violin strings

Can someone give me input on Dominant vs. Corelli strings- specifically Corelli Crystal and Alliance vivace?

And is there a point in getting more expensive ($30-50) strings for a $500 violin? Help a buddy out please. Thanks

yes, I would get the more expensive strings, they will make the violin sound better no matter what price it is.
