Recently, my violin case got ran over, destroying both of my bows and my case. Thankfully, the violin itself escaped unharmed, but I obviously needed to buy new bows.

Earlier today on Ebay, I spotted what seemed to be a good offer, and I went ahead and bought it, but I've always been a bit leery towards Ebay in general, and I would like to run my "good find" by someone who knows what they're talking about.

The bow is labeled "R. Vallieres" and the description on the bid is here:

Best selected round stick from 15 years natural seasoned pernambuco wood. Fine and elegant flower inlaid (colorful abalone) into a pure ebony frog. Silver wire winding and silver mounted.

The superb quality of this bow is evident: by the choice of finest materials, by first class workmanship, and also by its beautiful construction.

Very good tension. Tension and flexibility – well-balanced. Stick is very well balanced. So that this master bow is very easy to handle and has a quick and professional response to all strings. Fit for all bowing pattern. A real masters work. The bow follows all intentions of the player optimally. This bow produce as well a fine sweet tone as stacatto.

Best grade mongolian handpicked Horsehair .

Super bow for every kind of players, who attach importance to high playing qualities!

Weight: 61.5g
Size: 4/4 (full size)

The claim is that this bow is worth about $875, and I got it for $200. I guess my main question is.... is this legit or did I get royally jipped? Also I have a picture or two if anyone needs to see them.
Thanks to anyone who can help!
